Would Dr. Carlton replace my child’s regular
doctor? |
| A: |
No. Dr. Carlton will take care of your child’s medical
needs as they relate to his or her eating disorder. Your child’s
regular doctor will still perform routine check-ups and handle acute
illnesses such as the flu.

Can I meet with Dr. Carlton to determine if this practice is
right for my child? |

If my child is enrolled in Dr. Carlton’s practice, how
do I reach the doctor? |

Dr. Carlton will be available by phone 24-hours a day and by
email for non-urgent issues. However, if your child is having a medical
emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room. |

What if my child requires hospitalization? |
| A: |
If your child becomes medically unstable and requires medical
hospitalization, Dr. Carlton will make arrangements for the hospital
admission. During your child’s hospital stay, Dr. Carlton will be in
close contact with the hospital treatment team. |

How do I enroll my child in Dr. Carlton’s
practice? |
